Los Angeles, Oct. 15 (CNA) A viral video featuring famous dumplings from Taiwan has, as of Wednesday, attracted more than 3 million YouTube views after it was posted online by popular American internet media BuzzFeed.

The video, posted last Sunday and titled "$0.50 Dumpling Vs. $29 Dumplings," was the first of a three-episode special by the media outlet's show Worth It, starring Steven Lim, Andrew Ilnyckyj, and Adam Bianchi.

Together, the three visited several eateries in Taiwan, including a pan-fried dumpling restaurant located in Taipei's Gongguan area, and the famous Din Tai Fung restaurant chain, which is known for its steamed dumplings called xiaolongbao.

Brad Shih (施照輝), director of the Los Angeles office of Taiwan's Tourism Bureau, said in a release Tuesday that the BuzzFeed trio are currently on a 10-day tour in Taiwan.

According to the office, the Tourism Bureau is assisting the crew with their filming locations, as well as transportation and accommodation during their stay in the country.

It is hoped the show will help promote Taiwanese cuisine and food culture to the world, ranging from its night market scene and street food to high-end Michelin restaurants, and most importantly attract more international tourists to Taiwan, Shih said.

In the L.A. Office release, Katie LeBlanc, who aided in the production of "Worth It Goes to Taiwan," was quoted as saying she was pleased to be able to introduce Taiwanese food culture through this special edition of the show.
