Taipei, Feb. 24 (CNA) Rapid weather changes are expected in Taiwan over the coming week as three fronts arrive one after another ahead of the spring season, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) forecast on Saturday.

With a continental cold air mass weakening, daytime temperatures will likely reach 25 degrees Celsius in most of the country on Saturday, the bureau said.

An arriving weather front and strengthening northeasterly winds, however, will bring cooler temperature and rain to northern and northeastern Taiwan Sunday and Monday, according to the CWB.

Temperatures in northern Taiwan will warm up on Tuesday, reaching 27-29 degrees, as the northeasterly winds weaken, the bureau said.

A new front, combined with strengthening northeasterly winds, however, will again send temperatures down and increase chances of rain in northern and northeastern Taiwan on Thursday, the bureau said.

The winds will weaken on Friday, giving way to partly cloudy to clear skies in most of Taiwan, it added.
