Taiwan issues sea warning for Typhoon Talim

Taipei, Sept. 12 (CNA) The Central Weather Bureau (CWB) on Tuesday issued a sea warning for Typhoon Talim, which is approaching waters east of Taiwan.

As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, the storm was located about 810 kilometers east southeast of Taipei, moving in a west-northwestly direction toward Taiwan at 18-21 kilometer per hour, CWB data showed.

It is packing maximum sustained winds of 126 kph and gusts of 162 kph, according to the bureau.

Talim will pose an increasing threat to Taiwan's northern and eastern waters as it increases in intensity, the bureau said.
