Taipei, May 16 (CNA) American pop diva Lady Gaga arrived in Taipei Wednesday aboard a private charter plane to fulfil a promise she made to her fans last year that she would come back and perform full stadium concerts.

Lady Gaga disembarked at the Taipei International Airport wearing a long-sleeved neon green maxi dress and sporting big wavy hair, to be fast-tracked through immigration.

Outside the airport, crowds of Lady Gaga fans, who she calls "little monsters," waited for her with placards and posters.

The diva did not speak to the media but waved and blew kisses to cameras and her fans before heading for her hotel.

Upon arriving at her hotel, she spoke to fans and signed autographs before being whisked inside by her security detail.

The 26-year-old singer will give two concerts May 17 and 18 at the Nangang Exhibition Hall in Taipei, with the most expensive tickets priced at NT$12,800 (US$433.9) each.

The concerts were a promise Lady Gaga made to her fans in Taiwan after a free mini-concert she gave in Taichung last July.
