Taipei, May 25 (CNA) Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao-hsien (侯孝賢) will receive a cash reward of NT$5 million (US$163,980) from the Taiwan government for winning the best director prize at this year's Cannes Film Festival, the Ministry of Culture said Monday.
