Taipei, May 18 (CNA) American pop diva Lady Gaga posted a photoof herself with a Taiwanese fan on her Twitter page after performing Thursday, her first tweet since arriving in Taiwan to give two concerts.
"He waited 7 days switching off friends so he could go to school," Gaga tweeted of the male fan, who took turns with hisfriends to queue for a ticket for a week.
Gaga electrified more than 10,000 fans with hit songs including "Bad Romance," "Poker Face" and "Born This Way,"as well as hot dance routines.
She kicked off the gig at 7:30 p.m. with "Highway Unicorn,"entering astride a "horse" carried by two male dancers onto a Gothic-style stage beaming purple rays of light.
The costume chameleon made a dozen costume changes, shifting from a copy of her infamous "meat dress" and a military outfit to a skirt based on an origami paper crane and a headdressfeaturing the Statue of Liberty.
The concert hit a climax with "Hair," when Lady Gaga rode a big bike sporting a Republic of China flag, to the cheers of fans.
She then tied the flag, along with a "gay pride" rainbow flagto the bike, and shouted pro-gay rights slogans, urging people totake pride in who they are, regardless of their sexual orientation.
She sang a total of 23 songs before rounding off the two-hour show with "The Edge of Glory" and "Marry the Night" as encores.
Lady Gaga, who arrived Wednesday for the Taiwan leg of her"Born This Way Ball" world tour, was scheduled to stage a secondshow Friday before departing the following day.
