Taiwan shares end above 11,000 points; TSMC shares hit new high

Shares in Taiwan soared more than 170 points to breach the 11,000 point mark at the end of Monday's session, with market sentiment boosted by the first phase of a trade deal reached by the United States and China over the weekend, dealers said.
