Taiex could challenge 10,000 points in 1st session of Year of Pig

The benchmark weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, or Taiex, could move higher to challenge the 10,000- point mark Monday after the nine-day Lunar New Year holiday on the back of a more-than 2 percent increase in the Dow Jones Industrial Average during the market closure in Taiwan, according to analysts.
