Taipei, Sept. 21 (CNA) Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC, 台積電) Chairman Morris Chang (張忠謀) has been named one of the most visionary business leaders in the world, according to a report by New York-based business magazine Forbes.

To celebrate the company's centennial, Forbes compiled a list of quotes from 100 of the world's greatest entrepreneurs in a report titled "100 Greatest Living Business Minds."

According to Forbes, the quotes are meant to inspire and inform future entrepreneurs, the generation that will build and shape the next century.

Chang, who founded TSMC in 1987, was quoted as saying in the report that "Integrity means honesty and willingness to fulfill a promise, even at high cost."

"Commitment means dedication and loyalty to a task or an organization. Innovation means change. Trust from customers of course has to be earned, and I try to earn it by integrity and commitment," he said.

The report, compiled and published by Forbes earlier this week, also includes other world-renowned business leaders such as Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook, Fred Smith, founder of FedEx and Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Alphabet, Inc., the parent company of Google.
