Taipower chairman resigns due to reported differences over nuclear power

The Ministry of Economic Affairs said Friday that it has granted the request by Hwang Jung-chiou (黃重球) to resign from his post as chairman of the Taiwan Power Company or Taipower -- the island's state-owned electricity provider.
