Scholar advocates higher commercial rates for utilities, fuel

A Taiwanese scholar said Monday that the price of fuel, water, and electricity in Taiwan's industrial sector is too low because of government subsidies and he suggested either a removal of the subsidies or a regular price increase, which he said would spur greater efficiency.
