Taipei, July 28 (CNA) The U.S. dollar rose against the Taiwan dollar Tuesday, gaining NT$0.015 to close at NT$31.575 as foreign banks continued cutting their holdings in the local currency amid hopes of an interest rate hike by the U.S. Federal Reserve, dealers said.
