ITRI spins off cloud computing unit

Taiwan's state-funded Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI, 工研院) announced on Wednesday that it was spinning off its Gemini cloud OS research team into a company that will use all-encompassing virtualization and integrated cloud technology.
