Persisting drought likely to force stricter water rationing

Parts of northern Taiwan already subject to water rationing will likely face further water supply restrictions after the Lunar New Year holiday if the catchment of the main reservoir serving the area continues to drop amid low rainfall, the Water Resources Agency said Friday.
