Merchandise trade deal with China unlikely this year: minister

Taipei, Aug. 20 (CNA) Chances are low that Taiwan's negotiations with China on a merchandise trade agreement will be concluded before the signing of a China-South Korea free trade pact, expected by the end of this year, Economics Minister Duh Tyzz-jiun said Wednesday.
