Nuclear plant not to be turned on if other options found: minister

Taipei, April 23 (CNA) Economics Minister Chang Chia-juch said Wednesday that the administration will not put the fourth nuclear power plant into operation if other options are available, but he cautioned of a pending energy shortage when other power generating facilities are retired in coming years.
