Taipei, June 9 (CNA) A Taiwanese company that markets its products under the brand name of Utmost Tea has signed a contract with Chinese officials to establish a tea culture creative farm in Jiangxi Province, according to China's state-run Xinhua news agency Saturday.
The company will spend NT$470 million (US$15.7 million) to create a 136 hectare farm in an industrial park in Suichuan County in the southern China province, the report said.
In the first stage of the project, the company will construct facilities for tea processing, a tea culture display zone and leisure tourism buildings, the report said.
The second phase will include facilities for the promotion of agricultural products, it added.
Upon completion, the Taiwanese tea culture creative farm is expected to produce more than 1,500 tons of tea per year, according to the report.
