Taipei, April 25 (CNA) Studio A Inc., the largest chain of Apple resellers in Taiwan, opened its first store in Taichung on Wednesday as part of its expansion plan in Taiwan.
The new store, located in an upscale shopping mall called Park Lane by Splendor, aims to provide consumers with a shopping experience that combines culture and technology, said Guo Tai-chiang, chairman of Foxlink Group that is Studio A's largest shareholder, at the opening ceremony.
Studio A is eyeing the purchasing power of consumers in the central Taiwan city and also plans to set up stores in Hsinchu and Tainan areas, according to the store's president Kuan Heng-chun.
The company opened 30 stores in Taiwan in four years and moved into Hong Kong, China and South Korea in 2010.
It now has two stores in China -- in Nanjing and Hefai -- and has become Apple's top distributor in Hong Kong in just a few months, according to its website.
The company said it aims to establish more than 100 stores in the Greater China area.
