Independent tourist arrivals from China hit new high in 'golden week'

Taipei, Oct. 11 (CNA) More than 60,000 independent tourists from China visited Taiwan during the Oct. 1-8 "golden week" holiday, the highest number in six years, according to data released Wednesday by the National Immigration Agency (NIA).
