Taipei, April 30 (CNA) The recent detention of a Taiwanese fishing boat by the Japanese authorities has underscored that if Taiwan were to give up the ace in its sleeve -- eased cross-Taiwan Strait relations -- it will be accorded less dignified treatment, a former national security official warned Saturday.
