Songwriter describes Taiwan as 'political parvenu'

Taiwanese songwriter, composer and singer Hou Te-chien (侯德健), who was one of the pro-democracy advocates in the Tiananmen Square protests in China in 1989, has described Taiwan as a "political parvenu" because of its constant protest marches and demonstrations over the past two decades.
