Taipei, May 18 (CNA) To show the satisfactory outcome of NCKU-Delta Electronic Joint R & D Projects in 2011, a seminar was held at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), southern Taiwan, May 11th with 17 research projects represented and showcased 17 innovative products on the occasion.
According to NCKU President Hwung-Hweng Hwung, the cooperation between NCKU and Delta Electronics has entered the fourth year and the result has been fruitful. NCKU with industry-academic collaboration featured in pragmatic approach has always maintained a stable and productive relationship with the industry.
Chairman Bruce Cheng of Delta Electronics feels delighted to visit NCKU, his alma mater, and impressed by NCKU’s growing momentum in research and productive collaboration with domestic industries.
Cheng shares his viewpoints regarding global technology trends with the participants at the seminar, expressing his gratitude for NCKU’s long-standing support to Delta and hoping more opportunities will arise due to fruitful cooperation of the two sides.
Two of the most pressing tasks for NCKU Research and Services Headquarters are the initiative of NCKU Technology Transfer and Business Incubation Center and the reciprocal of industry-university cooperation projects, according to Mi-Ching Tsai, RSH Director.
NCKU-Delta Electronic Joint Research Center jointly funded by two sides with mutual benefits not only provides domestic industry with state-of-the-art technology but serves as a feasible platform for the teachers and students at NCKU, Tsai noted. Over the past four years, a total of 60 collaborative projects have published, and in 2012, NCKU-
Delta Electronic Joint Research Center with a total funding of about 20 million has approved 14 research projects.
