Taipei, July 3 (CNA) More than 100 images from past Olympic Games dating to 1896 are being exhibited at Taipei 101 to celebrate the upcoming London 2012 Olympic Games, organizers said Tuesday.

The photos, collected by Taiwan's Central News Agency and the French news agency Agence France-Presse, are displayed on the 89th floor of Taipei's landmark tower, with expected attendance from Taiwan's former Olympic bronze medalist Chi Cheng and Olympic taekwondo gold medalist Chen Yi-an on Wednesday.

Exhibition goers can immerse themselves in past Olympic glory by witnessing the winning moment of Taiwan's decathlete Yang Chuan-kuang, a silver medalist at the 1960 Rome Olympic, and the country's first Olympic gold medallist, Chen Shih-hsin.

Photos of the opening and closing ceremonies of the world's largest athletic events--from the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games to the most recent 2008 Beijing Olympic Games--are also on display.

The photo exhibition is scheduled to run through July 20.
