Taipei, May 13 (CNA) The works of 16 modern Taiwanese artists will be on display in Israel May 18-August 11 in collaboration between two major art museums in the two countries.

Entitled "Boundaries on the Move: A Cross-Cultural Dialogue," the exhibition, co-organized by the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art and the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, features Taiwanese artists active from the 1980s to the present and three contemporary artists from Israel in dialogue with one another, the Taipei museum said in a statement.

They will examine those boundaries that are "on the move" in everyday life in the context of social, political and economic issues facing Taiwan and Israel today, and address complex issues of individual identity, territorial borders, society, economics and immigration in an era of advanced technology and globalization.

The exhibited art works include photography, video, oil pantings, print and sculptures, the release said.

Modern art exchanges between the Taipei museum and Israel can be traced back to an exhibition on modern Israeli designs in 2003 and another in 2008 when the Taipei museum collaborated with the Middle East nation's representative office in Taipei in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Israel's founding, according to the museum.
