Tainan Mayor Lai Ching-te (賴清德) on Friday expressed his appreciation to Pope Francis through Facebook for the condolence message he sent to Tainan in the wake of a magnitude 6.4 earthquake that struck southern Taiwan on Feb. 6 and killed at least 95 people.
